The universe of 11,000 Years, or from Tell es-Sultan until now

What’s wrong with supervillains and superheroes?

There isn’t a lot of humorous sf. Many, many years ago, three authors wrote three books, sort of a trilogy, in which they are characters, and Save the World. They were Butterfly Kid (Chester Anderson), Unicorn Girl (Michael Kurland), and Probability Pad (T.A. Waters) In Unicorn Girl, passing through parallel worlds, we hear a snippet of a dragon teaching a clutch of dragonettes dragon history. With permission from the esteemed Michael Kurland, I here relate the full tragic tale of Ethyl the Martyr and the Man in the Tin Suit.

For a serious read, here is a story that didn’t fit into 11,000 Years,  how a teenager on the poor colony of N’span turned to grifting: Veddany.
