Artists and artwork

A friend posted in fb a link to some site called “Screen Rant”, where someone is immensely enthusiastic over artwork for LotR: https://screenrant.com/lord-of-the-rings-breathtaking-beautiful-interesting-concept-art-pieces/
Some are ok. Some are good. But #7, Eowyn vs. the Witch King… I think the “artist” needs to consider taking a few art classes, and I don’t mean online.

Before I start, let me note that long ago, in a world far away, I was active in the SCA, and have fought heavy (that is, in armor, with heavy weapons).

The picture neither resembles what Tolkien wrote, and it’s *terrible* artwork. The Witch King isn’t twice her size, nor is he using a three meter sword – Tolkien explicitly says he’s using a mace. And Eaowyn is not, in any way, wearing white with a white cloak – she’s in chain mail.

And the “pose” – can anyone tell me what direction the Witch King is facing? The points of his armored shoes are pointing towards the viewer, so he seems to be swinging at his left hip. Huh?

The artist *really* needed someone to pose for him, not have a few shots of 151 rum, and sketch this out.
