So, some of you have heard and seen me ranting over the years about movies made of books, and that they make real changes to the story.
Here’s a news story about critics in Germany panning the new movie of All Quiet on the Western Front.

I don’t see anybody arguing that they shouldn’t, that the filmmakers needed to make changes for one reason or another.
Why is it that it’s ok for them, but wrong for me to do the same thing? Oh, I know, they get paid for being critics….
